01:22 < pabs3> got a mail about from Digital Arts Magazine in the UK, they want to include synfig on a cd on the front of the mag

02:05 < pabs3> hmm, the windows version seems to not distribute a copy of the GPL or the openexr licence

03:04 < pxegeek> pabs: I'd have to reinstall, but I'm pretty sure there's a click through GPL agreement in the install process.
03:04 < pxegeek> Can't speak to the openexr licence
03:09 < pxegeek> Ugh - just noticed the smooth move icon arrows are still affected by the 'sharp cusps' bug. I'll add it to my list of things to fix
03:09 < pxegeek> That's one I can take care of!
03:32 < pxegeek> pabs - yes, the GPL Version 2 license is required to be agreed to as part of the synfigstudio install process. No mention of Openexr though
03:32 < pabs3> ah, ok
03:37 < pxegeek> pabs - can you commit this instead of what's currently there - http://home.comcast.net/~pxegeek/synfig/transform-move.sif
03:37 < pabs3> will do, working atm
04:20 < pxegeek> ! You mean you actually have a day job? ;)
04:23 < pabs3> :) today I'm doing something other than slacking off

19:02 < dooglus> Every time I boot, fsck runs, detects last superblock write in the future, reboots, and repeats forever. How can I fix this?
19:04 < PirateBob> ext3?
19:10 < dooglus> Yes, ext3. ubuntu 7.04. Am away from home, no install media, no net access other than from this phone.
19:12 < PirateBob> Well, you could boot into recovery mode from the Grub boot menu, manually unmount the partition, then fsck it with the force flag, but that's a little risky. Would be better to fsck the partition from a LiveCD.
19:13 < dooglus> Tried that. Recovery mode also runs fsck, which causes a reboot.
19:14 < PirateBob> It sounds like the only way to use some fsck magic from a LiveCD then. I'm not sure of the advanced options at the moment, but there may be one to simply rebuild the superblock, I'm not sure.
19:15 < dooglus> Ah, I use grub to boot. Can I tell grub to boot into single user mode? Some kernel parameter maybe?
19:16 < PirateBob> Recovery mode is single user mode
19:18 < dooglus> Oh yes. I have no live cd with me. Sounds like I might be stuck.
19:24 < PirateBob> Not sure of the capabilities of your phone, but if you could get to the Ubuntu forums, someone there might be able to offer a different perspective.
19:28 < KiBi> PirateBob: Is there any ./bootstrap or ./autogen.sh script in svn?
19:29 < KiBi> If so, call ./autogen.sh with the options you would pass to ./configure, that will generate ./configure and call it.
19:30 < PirateBob> Let me check
19:31 < PirateBob> Oh hey look, I made the front page of the KToon website.
19:34 < PirateBob> To answer your question, no, there's no autogen
19:34 < PirateBob> Or bootstrap
19:43 < KiBi> (having a look)
19:44 < KiBi> Looks like they now use a ruby configure.
19:44 < PirateBob> Yuck.\
19:45 < KiBi> But I'm lacking the "require"'d files.
19:45 < PirateBob> Then it's going to require extra Ruby modules I don't have and don't care to track down.
19:45 < KiBi> (and INSTALL is out of date)
19:45 < KiBi> Hmm, wait
19:45 < PirateBob> Oh well. Hopefully Synfig is easy to use.
20:27 < rore> Interpolation is easy, and persistent objects are even a little too persistent for my taste :)

20:39 < PirateBob> You're saying that interpolation is easy in Synfig? Or KToon?
20:40 < rore> in synfig, I didn't try ktoon yet
20:40 < PirateBob> Great, I'm glad to hear that. Would a graphics tablet be beneficial?
20:41 < rore> No idea.
20:41 < PirateBob> So you do your drawing with your mouse then
20:44 < rore> that's all I have :)
20:44 < PirateBob> I've been thinking of getting a graphics tablet. Drawing with the mouse gets tiresome for me.
20:46 < rore> well, it's less tiresome on vector apps than on bitmap apps :)
20:47 < PirateBob> Good to know. But I also user Blender, and I think it'd probably help there too, so it'd be a decent investment. I think Wacoms work with Linux.
20:57 < rore> that's what I read too :)
20:58 < PirateBob> Well I'm off. Thanks for the chat and the info :)
20:58 < rore> bye :)
