Close Project
=============

The user can close a `project`_ at any time. If the current work wants to be saved before closing the 
project, refer to `save`_ section. Even so, QElectroTech display an automatic message to 
`save project`_ if any modification has been created on it.

Closing the current project can be done from `menu bar`_, `toolbar`_, `projects panel`_, 
`projects tab bar`_ and using the corresponding keyboard shortcut. 

At the case that more than one `project`_ are opened, the active `project`_ will be the `project`_ 
which will be closed.

Close project from menu bar
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    1. Select **File > Close** menu item to close the active `project`_.

Close project from toolbar
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    1. Select the icon |project-close| from `toolbar`_ to close the active `project`_.

.. note::

   If the `toolbar`_ is not displayed, it can be displayed from **Settings > Display > Tools**.

Close project from projects panel
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The advantage of clossing `projects`_ from `projects panel`_ is the posibility to close `projects`_ 
which are opened and are not the active `project`_.

    1. Right click on the opened `project`_ from the `projects panel`_ tree wich should be closed.
    2. Select **Close this project** to close the selected `project`_.

.. note::

   If the `projects panel`_ is not displayed, it can be displayed from **Settings > Display > Projects**.

Close project from projects tabs bar
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

All opened `projects`_ can be visible at the `projects tab bar`_ that is displayed at top from the `workspace`_. 
The user can close an opened `projects`_, regardless of whether the project is active, with a click on the 
close tab |project_tab_close_tab| from the project tab. 

At the case that the `projects`_ are displayed as PopUP windows, they can be closed with a click on the 
close tab |project_window_close_tab| which is placed at the top right corner.

.. note::

   Displaying the `projects`_ using a tab bar or using PopUP windows can be choosed at 
   **Display > Display projects**.

Close project using keyboard shortcut
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

QElectroTech allows using keyboard shortcut to increase the working efficiency.

    1. Press ``Ctrl + f4`` to close the active `project`_.
